SEC tourney update

Well, first, all the good news, UGA is still alive after crushing Auburn. Can the dogs pull the upset tonight with a startling win over the gators? As a dog fan I hope so but I also know that the dogs heavy reliance on three point shot and tired legs will probably be there downfall tonight. Unless Brown inside has the game of his life down low, I think the Gators pull away and win by 15 to 20. Now onto, the tournament update, I was a solid if not spectacular 2-2 in my picks and both of my finalists Vandy and FL or still alive. Today's schedule looks like this, Kentucky and Miss St. at 1:00, Arkansas and Vandy at 3:15, GA and FLA at 7:30 and LSU and Miss St. at 9:45. Again, head out of the office about 12:00 or 1:00 and catch the games, your not doing anything at the office anyhow except surfing the blogs. Say you have a sales meeting or your cat died or you forgot to turn the iron off. Don't be scared!!

SEC Tournament - I know the winner, don't waste your time

I have carefully examined the bracket for the SEC tourney and after about five minutes of agonizing analysis, I leave you with the following:

Alabama/Kentucky - Kentucky

Miss St. - Bye

Kentucky/Miss St. (Friday) - Kentucky

South Carolina/Arkansas - Arkansas

Vandy - Bye

Arkansas/Vandy - Vandy

Kentucky/Vandy (Sat) - Vandy

UGA/Auburn - Auburn

FL - Bye

AUB/FL( Fri) - Flordia

LSU/Tennesse - Tennesse

Ole Miss - Bye

TN/Ole Miss (Friday) - TN

FL/TN (Sat) - FL

Sunday Final Vanderbilt vs. Flordia

And the winner is Vanderbilt.

It upsets me to have UGA lose in the first round but unless they win the game in the first half and just blow Auburn out, I think the pressure of having to win to have a shot at the NCAA's will be too much in a close game. Even if they win, I see no shot against a very good FL team. Does UGA have a shot at the NCAA? Probably not. 8-8 in the SEC most years would get you in but not when four teams from your division finish ahead of you. Overall a good season for UGA.
