Twenty-five Afghan kites, each bearing a tail autographed by celebrity (Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon, Halle Berry and Madonna among the celebs) are being auctioned off on eBay as part of a social action campaign tied to The Kite Runner movie. Proceeds go to the Afghanistan relief Organization for the training of teachers and construction of libraries.


Felicity Huffman, whose character is battling cancer on Desperate Housewives, has been named an ambassador for a public service campaign launched Wednesday by AstroZeneca pharmaceutical company and the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
