Georgia and Sunday Liquor Sales
Georgia currently does not allow Sunday liquor sales except in restaurants and bars. In other words, you can not buy beer, wine, or spirits in liquor stores and grocery stores on Sunday's. This may be on the verge of changing as the Georgia legislature debates changing the policy. This is not something I can get fired up about and it is funny and kind of sad to me that this is actually a major issue for some people. I mean really, buy it on Saturday or do like me or anyone with a brain and keep a stocked bar. If your that stupid that you can't think ahead then you really don't need to be killing anymore brain cells drinking. That said, should government really be involved in determining whether you can buy alcohol on a Sunday. No, they shouldn't. I don't have a problem with a minimum drinking age and laws concerning legal limits as in my my mind teenagers with the fearlessness they possess do not need to be drinking and certainly someone drinking and driving affects us all but what day you buy your alcohol really does not affect me or you in the least. As a fan of smaller government, I would slightly favor allowing Sunday sales.
