Spoiler alert! The hot docs of ABC's Grey's Anatomy are back on September 27, and executive producer Krista Vernoff tells Us to expect loads of drama.
After being left at the altar, Cristina (Sandra Oh) returns from the honeymoon - she brought Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) with her - to find that ex-fiance Burke is nowhere to be found (costar Isaiah Washington was fired from the show following controversy over his use of a gay slur).
Also off to a rocky start?
George (T.R. Knight), who's dealing with the fallout from failing his intern exam.
"He's going to be Meredith's intern!" Vernoff dishes.
But, she hints, the group will find time to, ahem, play doctor: "Grey's wouldn't be Grey's without some heated romance!"
