Bold = Saw Play this week

Thoughts on this week, coming week - First, USC proved again anything is possible in college football. USC did not take care of business, that said they are still the best of the one loss crew. LSU affirmed to me they are the clear #1, they play hard, have talent and have a gutsy coaching staff that doesn't play to tie. Cal is obviously talented but I just think they defense is going to give up too much one game. BC is a nice TEAM but I just don't know that they have the talent and speed to not slip up. South FL looks good, but can they get past a very solid Big East without a slip. Doubtfull. Missouri's spread offense is nice. I very reluctantly have FL as the best two loss team but in all honesty, I think it may be Tennessee. TN is a team that i think is going to be much better at the end of the season than they are now and may prove a real challenge for LSU in the SEC championship. TN appears to me with the reamining schedule capable of running the table. The one spot where I really differ with the big polls is Ohio St., I have them 12, most big polls have them 3. The reason is simple, one they haven't played anyone and I don't think the BIG TEN is good. I just cannot have them that high, to me the Big East is a much stronger conference this season. In fact, I may go as far to say the Big East may be the best conference in football this year top to bottom. The SEC has one excellent team LSU and then a group(AL,TN,UGA,FL,AUB,ARK,KTY,SC) - that can look great or terrible any given week but are overall just solid. The PAC 10 has a couple very good teams (CAL and USC), a couple nice teams (Oregon, Arz St.) and then not much else. The Big 12 has a solid Oklahoma and a good Missouri and obviously you can't discount Texas just because of the talent they run out there. The ACC has a nice BC, an ok Virginia Tech and a talented Clemson but not a ton else. A lot of parity this year, I don't know anyone can run the table and go undefeated.
