They're back. Steve McCoy and Vikki Locke, Atlanta radio's dynamic duo, will return as morning hosts on B98.5FM's 5:00 – 10:00 a.m. timeslot.
After nearly an eight month hiatus, Steve & Vikki will brighten up Atlantans' dreaded morning commute beginning July 1.
"B98.5FM places great emphasis on being a good neighbor in the community we serve," said Chris Wegmann, market manager for Cox Radio Atlanta. "It's rare to find personalities that have done as much for Atlanta as Steve & Vikki. Their light-hearted fun will usher in a new era for B98.5FM."
For more than 17 years, Steve & Vikki entertained Atlantans with laughter, crazy contests and breaking news, becoming great community neighbors and household names along the way. With a slight turn of the dial, Steve & Vikki fans will once again wake up to their favorite radio friends.
Fans will recognize signature Steve & Vikki contests and community causes and be in store for new, exciting events and morning discussions.
"The excitement and thrill of the new opportunity that awaits Vikki and me at B98.5FM and joining Cox Radio is second only to the happiness we feel to be back on morning radio in Atlanta," says Steve. "We love this town. It's where we belong, and we can hardly wait to once again wake up our listeners – who we have always thought of as our "Family." We have missed them!"

B98.5FM is a sister station of WSB AM.
This tells me they did not leave Star 94 after-all on their own accord!

Steve's been around a long time, I remember him all the way back to Z93 and his hiney wine bits. Glad their coming back and agree this seems to confirm that star pushed them out the door. That new group there is AWFUL. 98.5 and steve and vicki should be a good fit!
YEAH! YIPPEE! HOORAY! There aren't words to relay my joy. I HATE the new morning crew on Star 94 and have been channel surfing to try to replace them. Love Cindy and Ray, so glad you're not competing but SO glad you'll be back. THANK YOU 98.5.
When I moved to Atlanta in 1992 I found Steve & Vickie, who replaced my fave station in Rochester, NY. I have been a faithful listener and I am glad to have them back in my morning routine.
B98.5 will be my new morning station for sure! Steve and Vicki have the best radio personalities in the business, they were born for the job. After listening to the "Morning Mess", I bet the producer is saying..... what the HELL have I done! I think they should change it to... "Morning Mistake"
B98.5 will have the #1 morning show hands down!
STAR 94 in the morning SUCKS!I like Cindy and Ray.Now that Steve and Vicki will be back, we'll have something decent to listen to. If only someone would hire Kirsten Gates I would be happy!

I tried to listen to the Morning Mess, but after 2 weeks I was very disgusted with their language, grossed out with their conversations and annoyed with their phone pranks.They have no respect for their listeners.
Glad to see that Steve and Vicki will back - I have missed listening to them in the mornings and Star 94 just isn't the same. B98.5 will be my new morning show to listen to!
Atleast now there is something besides Bert. I think im getting too old for the bert show now. it's just stupid.
We moved to the west coast last year and were just back in town last week. The VERY FIRST thing we did when we got in the rental car was tune to 94.1 to hear Steve and Vikki on the drive. Still don't know what the story is, but we sure are glad to hear they will be on the air the next time we come home! We've missed them! (also, didn't care for their replacements!)
I was so excited when I found out they were coming back I absolutely love them they are AWESOME!!!

I AM AN AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN I LISTEN TO STEVE AND VICKI ON MAY 13,2009 I WAS ON HOLD AND STEVE OR ANOTHER GENTLEMAN CAME ON THE LINE AND SAID B98.5 ,I ASKED AM I THE CORRECT CALLER WHOMEVER WAS ON THE LINE HESITATED AND TOLD ME NO I WAS THE 97 CALLER I HAVE LISTEN TO SEVERAL STATIONS WAS IT BECAUSE I WAS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN THAT I DIDNT GET TO WIN I WAS REALLY SHOCKED BECAUSE 98.5 WAS IN MY NEIHBORHOOD ON SATURDAY AT AJ WRIGHT ON MEMORIAL DR.I AM REALLY DISSAPPOINTED BECAUSE RACE SHOULD NEVER BE A ISSUE WE ARE IN 2009....LINDA J
