Atlanta Braves Open Season Today

This years Braves team still has no speed at all, an improved bullpen, a mediocre starting staff, a solid defense and what I suspect will be an offense that struggles to score runs. The national league though is pretty inept which will help the Braves to a .500 or slightly better finish which will most likely not be good enough for the postseason for the second year in a row. Look for a huge year from Andruw Jones who is in a contract year. Look for Chipper Jones to play in no more than a 120 games as injuries have whittled away his remaining ability. As for John Smoltz, I predict he blows out his arm and retires. Bobby Cox will again beat his wife from the "stress" of being the most overrated manger in either league. As for Barry Bonds, I predict he will blow out his knee and not reach Hank Aaron's number.
