Zach Johnson wins Masters!

Zach Johnson won the Masters! Who is Zach Johnson? I don't know, being local to Atlanta, all I knew was he won the Bellsouth in Sugarloaf a couple years ago.

Phil, just four back to begin Sunday, finished +11 and 10 strokes back. Will Phil ever recover from the collapse at the US Open last year? It's a little iffy right now.

Tiger, after leading very briefly Sunday, finished two back. Tiger is Tiger and I suspect he will be a factor at the remaining three majors for 07.

I hope Zach or someone else can really start to emerge as a personality in golf. The sport is too heavily dependent on Tiger and Phil and Tiger plays fewer and fewer events and Phil is starting to get up there at 36.

British Open is up next in terms of the majors.

Also, I thought the tournamant made a really smart move soaking the greens overnight and in placing pin locations in favorable spots. It made for an exiciting Sunday with probably 10 players in serious contention until the last 6 holes.
